The Daish's Training Academy

The sky is the limit with your progression and many of our General Managers have progressed through the ranks to the top. All our Operations team have climbed the ladder from starter positions within hospitality. This makes them even more effective in their roles because they have experienced every element of running a Daish's Hotel themselves.

The Imperial Hotel is our Daish's training academy, this is where we send potential managers to learn the ropes from some of our most experienced and long serving management team.

Once you embark on your journey to become a Daish's General Manager, you will be enrolled onto a level 3 or 5 apprenticeship as standard and will complete your first allocation at The Daish's training academy in Eastbourne. You will have projects to complete and will learn how a Daish's hotel operates from the back-of-house procedures to running the restaurant yourself. You will then relocate to The Devonshire Hotel in Torquay to learn the policies, accounts procedures and basic human resources practices.

After this you will travel to any 2 of our hotels across the UK for up to 6 months in each, to learn how Daish's operates as a business and make a positive impact on the way the hotel runs.

Once you have successfully completed your Level 3 or 5 Apprenticeship and your year of learning the Daish's way, you will be allocated a permanent position in one of our hotel senior management teams.
