The Job:

 

We are looking for a punctual & reliable person to join our team at The Barrowfield Hotel. Their job is to provide exceptional customer service whilst performing their regular duties, as well as supervising their fellow waiters. A Supervisor must thrive as it’s a fast paced environment, as the restaurant is based in a busy hotel open all year round. You can usually expect to work morning and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as per rota. Other duties include talking to guests to ensure they have a good experience, reporting any guest complaints or workplace issues to the General Manager.

 

Skills & Qualities Required

 

(Any food & hygiene related certificates are desirable but not required)

- Expert in basic food service

- Possess leadership qualities

- Able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team

- Has excellent customer service skills

- Friendly & approachable

- Upbeat & positive attitude

- Great communication & organisational skills

- Knowledge of allergens

- Must have a passion for working with the general public

- Knowledge of Health & Safety, Food & Hygiene regulations

 

Duties responsibilities

 

- Seat guests & assign staff to tables/daily jobs

- Ensure waiting staff are complying with restaurant procedures

- Informing guests of the day’s special

- Supervise the quality of service of restaurant team as a whole & of individuals

- Provide excellent customer service to set an example to the rest of the team

- Supervise the restaurant & waiting team while also serving their own tables

- Taking orders from their tables & check that the rest of the team have placed orders correctly & delivered them to the correct tables

- Communicate with the kitchen staff to place orders

- Ensure any dietary requirements are met & the chefs are fully aware of them
